Trombone

The trombone is a mid to low-pitched instrument in the brass section. Instead of pressing valves to change airflow and harmonics, trombone players move the instrument's main slide to help achieve the desired tone. Slide position along with the player's lips pressed against a cupped mouthpiece help to create the trombone's distinctive and expressive tone.
